Massage Therapy
Find out more about each restaurative modality used in my sessions.
Before we can start your massage therapy, we will go through a thorough evaluation of your needs. First, you’ll be invited to fill out a health questionnaire. After that, I’ll ask you to go through a series of short muscle movements. Once I’m able to identify where your body holds tension, I will adapt my technique and blend various therapeutic massage styles in order to help you find the balance you need.

Personalized postural somatic awareness session
At the beginning of our session, we will go through a series of movement to assess your joint mobility and range of motion for a better therapy session and for postural awareness education. This step is important to understand where the tension is located, to help you become aware of your own body and to adapt the massage therapy to your specific needs.

Structural myofascial therapy® (STMF®)
This modality can help:
- Reduce chronic tension
- Improve your rage of motion
- Reduce discomfort caused by deep, slow or repetitive movements (usually experienced by athletes and other active people but also sedentary lifestyle)
- Increase balance
Fascia is a collagenous network or connective tissue webbing that wraps most structures within the human body, attaching, stabilizing, enclosing and separating muscles and other internal organs. Rejuvenating myofascial tissue from injury, fatigue and overwork is just one of the many goals and benefits of this modality. By releasing the whole fascial line, it is possible to reset the body and improve its various functions.

Proprioceptive deep tendon reflex® (P-DTR®)
This modality can help:
- Relieve tensions
- Improve human performance in all area of life
- Improve range of motion
- Improve muscle imbalance
P-DTR® is a unique neurological therapy based on neurology, biomechanics, neurophysiology, anatomy and profound research. It help resolve central nervous system dysfunction by resetting sensory receptor and pathways that have been improperly integrated due to conflicted information in the body. Encompasses a wide spectrum of functional dysfunctions on all levels. Musculoskeletal, Endocrine, Autonomic, chemical, emotional and mental.

Neurokinetic Therapy® (NKT®)
This modality can help reduce:
- Chronic tension
- Muscle tension
- Neck, back and shoulder tension
- Headaches and tension
It can also help
- Retracting muscles following trauma
- Correcting poor running form
NKT® is based on the premise that after an injury has occurred, certain muscles get inhibited, forcing other muscles to overwork. By finding out which muscles are inhibited, it is possible to correct the movement patterns in the cortex and undo these compensation patterns.

Integrated Cranial Therapy®
This modality can help:
- Relieve anxiety
- Reduce headaches
- Relieve sinus pressure
- Improve balance
This therapy modality is a subtle, yet powerful way to activate your healing switch. Integrated Cranial Therapy® is a blend of various approaches related to the craniosacral system to harmonize your cerebrospinal fluid, cranial bone movement and dura mater.

Integrated Kinesiology® (Kin®)
This modality can help relieve:
- Fibrous muscles
- Recurrent muscle spasms
- Tendons and ligaments that do not respond well to conventional treatments.
- Headaches
Kin® is a scientific approach to clinical evaluation that makes it possible to read the musculature by detecting links between the muscle and the fundamental aspects of wellness, such as the structural aspect (skeleton, muscles, organs, viscera and nervous system), the biochemical aspect (metabolism, nutrition, and nerve impulses), the energy aspect (meridians, Chinese pulse, chakras) and the psychic aspect (emotional).

Kinesio Taping Treatment
Physiological effects:
- Facilitates or inhibits muscle contraction
- Reduces tension by reducing pressure on the body's mechanoreceptors
- Improves blood and lymph circulation
- Helps reduce inflammation
- Rehabilitates joints and neuromuscular functions
Kinesio tape is a non-invasive therapeutic tape designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process. It does so by allowing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion. The Kinesio tape has the same elasticity as the skin. Its wavelike pattern lifts the skin, creating waves between the dermis and the epidermis and contributing for a better circulation.
Properly applying kinesio tape is very important for obtaining the best results. If you’re interested in this method, I’ll explain to you how and where to apply it once I evaluate your needs during our massage therapy session.
